Following our recent upgrade to the software running bucksinfo.net below is information about the main changes, that we hope will be useful to website administrators.
Previously the width of your webpages was fixed, now they will resize to the the screen and resolution being used by whoever is viewing the webpages.
There are now additional colour schemes to choose for your website. When you are logged in click on 'Manage Website' and click on 'Change colour schemes' to see the options.
The initial navigation link is still called 'About Us' but the page has been improved to allow you to add more specific details of the service you offer, venue and contact details. If you have more than one service you can create a seperate page for each service. The tern 'Service' should be loosely thought of as things your organisation does e.g. A cricket club may have serveral different teams practising and playing on different days and they might have different people as contacts for each team.
Allows searching by postcode and information only on your Service Details webpages.
Website administrators can update information on your Service Details page by using the 'Edit These Details' link at the bottom of the Service Details webpage.
These will now automatically appear on the bottom of your 'Home' page.
Website administrators can update your Organisation Contact Details by using the 'Manage Website' link, found under you organisation name at the top of most webpages, then clicking on 'Change organisation details' and then on the 'Edit' button at the bottom of the webpage.
Tip - if you do not want Organisation Contact Details to be on the bottom of your 'Home' page, then delete all the details in this section. Please ensure that you do have some contact details on your Service Deetails webpage.
As a security feature your personal login will now timeout after 20 minutes inactivity. Please remember to save any work you are doing on your website such creating a new page or updating a page if you leave your computer to attend to something else without logging out.
All websites now have a 'Leave Feedback' online form link on the bottom of most of your webpages. If the public decide to send you comments or want to contact you by using this form, then it will be automatically emailed to you. The person sending this will not know the email address it is sent to.
Allows you to create online forms for your website.
Allows to create an online petition.
